Services were held Monday, September 26, at 10:00 AM in Ebenezer Baptist Church in Weston with Rev. Truman Leech and Rev. Raymond Crowfoot officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mrs. Ramsey was a housewife. Survivors include five sons; Jesse Ramsey and Clyde Ramsey of Olla, Alvin Ramsey and Clifton Ramsey of Chatham, and Ernest Ramsey of Grayson; Four Daughters, Mrs. Irene Barr of Ruston, Ms. Bessie Mae Ramsey of Jena, and Mrs. Marie McElroy and Mrs. Mildred Taylor of West Monroe; one special nephew, James William White of Crestview, FL; one sister, Mrs. Etta Hearne of Newnan, Ga; 33 grandchildren; 61 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Additional Comments: My Grandmother, Cora, was the daughter of James L. White and Mary Christine Barnett. Born in Monroe, Louisiana (White's Ferry Road)she married Jesse Franklin Ramsey on March 10, 1918 in Monroe.
