William Ramsey -- Chatham, LA 
William Alvin Ramsey, 76, of Chatham, LA died Sunday, August 13, 2000 at his 
residence. 
Funeral services were Tuesday, August 15, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at Ebenezer 
Baptist Church. 
Burial was in the Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds 
Funeral Home of Jonesboro, LA. 
Mr. Ramsey was in the pulpwood industry - self employed and a veteran. 
Mr. Ramsey was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Marie Ramsey, one son, 
Jerry Don Ramsey, and three brothers, Claude, Orron and Ernest Ramsey. 
He is survived by: three daughters, Tammy Marie Evans, Donna Jean King and 
husband David, and Mary Elizabeth Pate all of Olla, LA; one son, Thomas Wayne 
Ramsey and wife, Brenda of Columbia, LA; four sisters, Irene Lowery and 
husband, John of Choudrant, LA, Marie McElroy of West Monroe, LA, Bessie Mae 
Ramsey of Jena, LA, and Mildred Taylor and husband, Damon of West Monroe, LA; 
three brothers, Clifton Ramsey and wife, Lessie of Chatham, LA, Clyde Ramsey 
of Kelly, LA and Jessie Ramsey and wife, Obeline of Olla, LA, nine 
grandchildren and five great grandchildren and one on the way. 
Pallbearers were: Tracy Beamoffer, Chris Hartley, David King Jr., Joseph King, 
Micheal Pate and James Ramsey & Samuel "Pee Wee" Ramsey. 

Additional Comments:
Alvin was the son of Jesse Franklin Ramsey and Cora Allen White Ramsey.
