All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ************************************************ The Jackson Independant Feb 7, 1985 Kermit Rasberry dies after illness Kermit R Rasberry, age 75, of Quitman, died Friday, February 1, 1985 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after a lengthy illness. Mr. Rasberry was a native of Jackson Parish and was a retired boiler operator at the Hodge paper mill. He was a member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge No. 280 F&AM. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 3, in the Buck Edmonds Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Rev. Stuart Toms conducted the services. Burial was in the Beech Springs Cemetery in Quitman, under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Betty Hayes of Del Rio, Texas, Mrs Barbara Kennedy of West Monroe, Mrs Bonnie Settle of Marthaville and Mrs. Carolyn Kennedy of Houston, Texas. Two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Ricks of Jonesboro and Mrs. Margaret Peel of Quitman; two brothers, Pete Rasberry of Quitman and Bill Rasberry of Bourg, La.; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild also survives.
