C. Rasbury, age 63, of Quitman, and his son Wesley R. Rasbury, age 36 of Jonesboro, drowned about 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, in Little River in Catahoula Parish, near Archie, Louisiana, about 12 miles south of Jonesville. They were on a fishing trip. Joint funeral services for the father and son were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 10, in the Hodge Baptist Church. Rev. Paul Johnson, Rev. Terry Lowe and Rev. Earl Lock conducted the service. Burial was in the Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Masonic graveside rites were held for Mr. W. C. Rasbury. Mr W. C. Rasbury was a retired employee of Continental Can Company in Hodge. He was a member of Hodge Lodge, No. 363 F&AM. He was a past Worshipful Master and at the time of his death he was serving as Secretary of the Lodge. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie Rasbury of Quitman; one daughter, Mrs. Marion Brown of Saline; two sisters, Mrs. Mavis DeFreese of Ruston and Mrs. Clarice Andrews of Pineville; two brothers, Noel Rasbury of Carthage, Texas and Haskel Rasbury of Ruston; five grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers were Charles Tilley, Julius Gaines, Bo Harville, Max Robinson, Jimmy Woods and Sonny Hathaway. Wesley Rasbury was an employee of CCC. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Betty Foster Rasbury of Jonesboro; one son, James Wesley Rasbury; two daughters, Michelle Rasbury and Kimberly Rasbury, all of Jonesboro; his mother, Mrs. Annie Rasbury of Quitman and one sister, Mrs. Marion Brown of Saline. Pallbearers were Jimmy Tapp, Jimmy Robinson, Ronnie Bryan, Wesley Lockhart, Bobby Horton, Randy Layfield, Robert Gammill and Johnny Guyotte.
