ervices for Alfred A. Ricks, age 84, of Jonesboro, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, in the Buck Edmonds Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Rev. Major Lewis conducted the services. Masonic graveside services were held in the Beech Springs Cemetery near Jonesboro. Burial was under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mr. Ricks died Monday, September 23 in the Jackson Parish Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired millwright, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Jonesboro Lodge No. 280 F&AM. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Rasberry Ricks of Jonesboro; one son, Paul Ricks of Nederland, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Glynn Baron of Monroe; Two sisters, Mrs. Edna Stevenson of Jonesboro and Mrs. Lois Harvey of Quitman; five grandchildren and one great grandchild also survives. Fellow Masons served as pallbearers.
