(Deeb) Shows, age 65, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, March 24, 1987 in the Arcadia Manor Nurcing Home, after a long illness. Mr. Shows was a native of Weston. He was a veteran of World War II, and owned and operated an upholstery shop for many years. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 26, in the Buck Edmonds Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Rev. Bryan Simoneaux will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Lee Shows of Jonesboro; three step-sons, Wayne Moffett of Gainsville, Georgia, Ray Moffett of Minden, and Randy Moffett of Hammond. Two step-daughters, Mrs. Lucille Lewis of Joliet, Illinois and Mrs. Louise Morrow of Lockport, Illinois, Two sisters, Mrs. Avie McCloud of Lake Charles and Mrs. Iva Nell Pantallion of Nacogdoches, Texas; one brother, Bronice Shows of Weatherford, Texas; nine step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren also survive.
