F. Shows Dies After Lengthy Illness V. F. (Florice) Shows, age 85, of Bossier City, died Wednesday, June 13, 1990, in the Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Jackson Parish and worked for many years as a Standard Coffee Salesman. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, in the Buck Edmonds Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Rev. J. W. Kennedy conducted the services. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery, near Jonesboro, under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Survivors include one son, Wayne Lawrence Shows of Haughton; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice Dettenheim of Homer; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two brothers, W. O. Shows and Coy Shows, both of Weston; four sisters, Lola Brooks of Jonesboro, Tommie Kelly of Winnfield, Willie Brown of Dry Prong, and Merlene Blansett of Charlotte, N. C. Pallbearers were Red Williams, Billy Walker, Dean Walker, Donald Black, Steve Mayer and Vernon Houston.
