Simons Funeral services for Bunyan B. Simons, 77, of Chatham were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, in the Chatham Baptist Church with the Rev. Sherwood Tullos and the Rev. I. A. Patton conducting. Burial was in Chatham cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mr. Simmons died early Friday morning in Glenwood hospital in Monroe after a brief illness. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Anna Simons, Chatham; one son, O.V. Simons, Chatham; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Becton and Mrs. Winston May, Monroe; Mrs. J.W. Bullin, Jackson, Miss.; one brother, J.D. Simons, Sikes; three sisters, Mrs. B.W. Allen and Mrs. Joe McElroy, West Monroe and Edd Starnes, Winnfield; 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Glen Simons, Carl Simons, Fred H. Moore, J. B. McCainn, Leaman Cunningham and Millard Good.
