All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Last Rites for Mrs. Rosa Smith Held December 23 Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Adams Smith, age 59, who died at aJonesboro clinic, were held Friday, December 23, at 2:00 P. M.at Antioch church, with Rev. E. R. Lawrence conducting, assistedby Rev. Joe Pace. Interment was in Antioch cemetery, under direction of Southern Funeral Home.Mrs. Smith's death came after alingering illness.The deceased was born at Gaar's Mill and had lived in Winn andJackson Parishes her entire life. She was a member of the Baptistand was a faithful worker in her church work. She had gained manyfriends who regret her passing. Surviving are her husband, J. G. Smith,one daughter, Mrs. Exie Smith McDow, of Quitman; three sons, MarionJoe Smith, Roxton, Texas; James Melton Smith, Deport, Texas, JesseGlover Smith, China Lake, Calif., and one grandchild.Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Troy Adams, Clio Adams,J. P. Adams, T. C. DeLoach, Clyde Parker and Troy Kennedy.
