Mr. Allen M. (Preacher) Vail
   JONESBORO, LA -- Services for Mr. Allen M. (Preacher) Vail, 81,
of Jonesboro, LA will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist
Church of Jonesboro with Dr. Herb Dickerson and Rev. A.J. Baxter
officiating.  Burial will be in the Garden of Memories in Jonesboro
under the direction of Edmonds Funeral home in Jonesboro. Mr. Vail
died January 20, 1989 in Ruston following a lengthy illness. He was
a veteran of World War II serving with the Seabees, was a retired
bookkeeper with the Jackson Parish School Board and was a member of
the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. Annine Vail of Jonesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Rasbury
of Houston, TX and Mrs. Mary McDonald of Taylor, AR; one brother,
Jeffie Vail of Quitman, LA; two sisters, Mrs. Linnie Brown of Hodge
and Mrs. Falba Peevy of Jonesboro; four grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren.
