Wayne Morrow officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Mrs. Vail died Wednesday, July 5 at the Jackson Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born, raised and lived all her life in Jackson Parish. She attended and graduated from Bear Creek School and was a member of the Hiway Chapel Church of God for 70 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G Vail. Survivors include five sons, Donald Ray Vail of Farmerville, James S Vail of Venezuela, Kenneth Vail of Panacea, FL, Robert C Vail and Richard F Vail of Quitman; one daughter, Lurline Whitten of Ruston; two sisters Miriam Pinkard of Durant, MS and Naomi Blanchard of Vancover, Washington; twelve grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jeffery Hammons, Jerry Vail, Russell Vail, Richie Vail, Lance Vail and David Sutton. Honorary pallbearers were R E Brown, John Earl Jimmerson, Joe Vail and Greg Horn.
