Ray Source: Jackson Independent Date: 20 Dec 2004 ************************************************ Submitted to the LAGenWeb Archives ************************************************ Vardaman, Mina April 3, 1999 Mina Vardaman -- Waco, TX Mina Elizabeth Robinson Vardaman, 70, of Waco, TX, was born Feb. 11, 1929 and passed away April 3, 1999, at her residence. A testimonial memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 1999, in Waco. She graduated from Jonesboro Hodge High School and became a beautician. She owned Robbies Powder Box in Lake Charles. Later she graduated from Louisiana College. She also did post graduate work at Baylor University in Waco. She was a graduate of the Real Estate Institute, was active in real estate, and was still working when she passed away. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Bell Bryant Robinson; her stepmother, Videll Vines Robinson; her father, Morgan Robinson; and her sister, Connie Johnston. She is survived by three daughters, Bridget Ren'e Ashmore, Kirsten Turner, and Page Cupper; three grandchildren, Brienne and Hillary Ashmore, and Austin Turner; one sister, Una Maxwell of Jonesboro; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association and/or Friends for Life.
