Waldrop, Stephen April 13, 1961

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Chatham Methodist
Church for Stephen Lincoln Waldrop, age 76, of Chatham. Rev. Falcon Hearn,
Rev. J. T. Garrett and Rev. S. W. Tullos conducted the services with
interment in the Chatham Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral
Home of Jonesboro.
Mr. Waldrop died at his home Sunday afternoon after an illness of several
weeks. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his widow Mrs. Elizabeth Waldrop of Chatham; five sons, S.
L. Jr. of little Rock, Ark., Joseph of Pensacola, Fla., Robert of Kansas
City, MO., Harold of Grayson, and Bryant Waldrop of Lafayette; two
daughters, Mrs. Athalie Beeson and Mrs. Mildred Rosser, both of Pineville; a
sister, mrs. Mattie Sweeney of Grenada, Miss.; 16 grandchildren
