Rev. Stuart Toms and Rev. C. S. Martin conducted the services. Burial was in the Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mr. Walker died Wednesday, January 12, in the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, following a lengthy illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Quitman and was a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, A. B. and Mazie Walker of Quitman; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Williams of Vernon, and Mrs. Floyce Smith of Arcadia; Seven brothers, A. V. Walker and Winston Walker, both of Vernon; Harold Walker, David Gale Walker, Max Walker, Royce Walker and Ralph Walker, all of Quitman. Pallbearers were nephews; Wayne Walker, Robert Walker, Donald Walker, Matt Walker, Leo Walker, Perry Williams and Dennis Smith.
