All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Jackson Parish Man With Relatives Here Succumbs Funeral services for Edward Wilkerson, 42, of Haughton, who died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Haughton Baptist Church. The Rev. Melton Prothro officiated and burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery near Haughton. Mr. Wilkerson, a retired tech sergeant with 21 years service, was stationed at Barksdale for 16 years. He was a native of Jackson Parish. Survivors include his widow of Haughton; his mother, Mrs. Alice Wilkerson of Hodge; one son, Ernest Wilkerson; two daughters, Edith Ann and Sue Ellen of Haughton; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Sanders of Winnfield; Mrs. Armon Stroud, Hodge; Mrs. Eugene Harvey, Jonesboro; one brother, John E. Wilkerson, Jr. of Forbes Air Force Base, Topeka, Kan. Mr. Wilkerson was also the nephew of J.W. Wilkerson, Joyce; and H.L. Wilkerson, Jonesboro Highway.
