Wilkerson of Hodge, Louisiana at three o'clock P.M. with the Rev. J. R. Smith, pastor of the Nazarene Church of Jonesboro officiating. Interment was in the Brooks Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds' Funeral Home of Jonesboro.Pallbearers were: Waymon Quales, H. A. Johnson, Victor Anderson, G. A. Austin, Giles Thomas, and J. Garner.Mr. Wilkerson is survived by five sons, Wayne Wilkerson of Hodge, Harvey Wilkerson, Norman, Oklahoma, Hebert Wilkerson, of Ada Oklahoma, and Clarence Wilkerson of Beaumont, Texas and Luther Wilkerson of Greenville, Texas. Two half brothers, Ivey Wilkerson of Copper, Texas and Lawrence Wilkerson of Jonesboro, and nine grandchildren.Mr. Wilkerson was born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 6th 1868, he made his home in Madill, Oklahoma for the last fifteen years until two months ago he came to Hodge to make his home with his son due to ill health. He suffered a paralytic stroke Monday Feb. 13th and never regained consciousness. His death occurred Feb. 24th at 12:14 A.M.
