Registed in COB O, folio 91: By an act passed before W. J. McCune Notary Public on the 13th November 1878. Michel Zeyer of this Parish sold and conveyed unto Mistress Catherine Fisher, above the age of majority, wife Judicially separated in property of Michael Laque, also of this parish, and herein duly authorized and assisted by the said Michal Laque who appears with his said wife for that purpose accepting and purchasing for herself, her heirs and assigns, and acknowledging delivery and possession thereof the following described property to wit: Two certain Lots of Ground, together with all the buildings and improvements thereon, rights, ways servitudes privileges and advantages thereunto belonging or in any any ways appertaining situated in the Village of Mechanickham in the Parish of Jefferson in the State in the Square Number Ten, bounded by Copernic Avenue, Newton, Third and Fourth streets on a plan drawn by Hugh Grant, Surveyor dated February Second Eighteen hundred and forty-two and depositied in the Office of L. R. Kenny, late Notary Public for this Parish. Said lots adjoin each other and measure each Fifty (50) feet from on Newton street by a depth of One Hundred and twenty five (125) feet between parallel lines. This sale is made for the price and sum of Seven Hundred ($700) Dollars payable as follows to wit: First- the said purchaser has paid the sum of One Hundred Dollars. Second- And in payment of the balance of said price (to wit the sum of Six Hundred Dollars) the said purchaser has furnished her four several promissory notes each for the sum of One Hundred and fifty dollars drawn by her to her order and by her her endorsed with pre authorization of her said husband, dated this day and payable respectively at One, Two, Three and Four years after date with interest at the rate of Eight per cent per annum from date until paid.
