KERNER
Mrs. Leo Kerner, nee Thelma Couevas of Lafitte died Wednesday September 
14, 1938 at 12:30 p. m. and will be buried today at 3 p.m. from the 
Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 334 Lafayette Avenue, Gretna.  Interment to 
follow in the Lafitte Cemetery.  Mrs. Kerner was 36 years old a native 
of Biloxi, Miss. and resident of Lafitte for 16 years.  Besides her 
husband, she is survived by five children, Leo, Elwood, Ida Mae, Edward 
and Bobbie Kerner; her mother, Mrs. Ferdinand Couevas nee Mary Shaw and 
a brother Elton Couevas.
