Merian Jeanne Smith Pertuit of Harvey, Louisiana on Saturday, April 7, 1990
at 12:15 o’clock a. m. Beloved wife of the late Christopher Pertuit.
Daughter of the Zoe Lapeyronnie Smith Plaisance and William Thomas Smith 
of Gretna,Louisiana.  Step-daughter of Camile Peter Plaisance.  Mother of
Adrienne Pertuit Pierce and the late Gwendolyn  and Carolyn Pertuit. Sister
of August William Smith and Willie May Sandras and the late Vada Smith
Costello, Ada Smith, and Adrian Lynn Smith. Survived by son-in-law Noah J. 
Pierce, Jr. Grandmother of Eileen Pierce Burregi (Carl); Suzanne Pierce 
Terrebonne (Keith); Dr. Diane Pierce; Darlene Pierce Aguillard (David) and 
Andrea Pierce Billiot (Bobby). Great grandmother of Tara, Robyn, Kacie and 
Jaimy Burregi; Lauren, Jessie, Megan and Sara Terrebonne; and Amanda Billiot. 
A native of Gretna, Louisiana and a resident of Harvey for over 50 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of
Christian Burial in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Homes, Inc. 2100 West Bank
Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, April 9, 1990 at 2:00 p.m.
Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.  Parlors will open Monday morning
at 11:00 a.m.
