SMITH
In the Jefferson Parish Times on November 27, 1948.  Mary D. Meade wife 
of the late Yalter E. Smith, survived by 5 children' Mrs. F. Watts, Mrs. 
C.B. Borgstede, Walter E. Smith, Jr. and Mrs. Robert Arms.  She was 70 
years old and a native and resident of East End, Jefferson Parish for 
the past 38 years.

Relatives and friends as well as the Ladies Altar Society, Missionary
Sister of the most Holy Eucharist, employees of Jefferson Parish Drainage
Board and Lakeshore Hospital were present at the funeral held on Wednesday,
December 22 1948 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon from Jacob Schoen Funeral
Home located at 3827 Canal Street.

Religious services were held at St. Louis King of France Church, East End
in Jefferson Parish.  She was interred in St. Joseph's Cemetery #1.
