All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** State of Louisiana, Parish of Jefferson, 28th Judicial District Court, Suit #146 Filed 7 September 1901 Succession of Magdalena Fleckinger, wife of Charles Fisher Joint petition of Frederick Fisher, surviving spouse of the late Magdalena Fisher; Margaret Fisher, wife of August Kreger, and of said August Kreger, to aid and assist and authorize his wife; Caroline Fisher, wife of Henry Wilty, and of said Henry Wilty, to aid and authorize his wife; Clara Fisher, wife of Nicholas Fruhling, and of said Nicholas Fruhling, to aid and authorize his wife and Catherine Fisher, a femme sole: Respectfully represents that Magdalena Fleckinger died at her residence in Mechanickham on the 13th day of May, 1900. That Magdalena and Frederick Fisher married on 31st March, 1864; That she left community interest property and certain moveables as follows: 1. 1 lot of household effects situated at residence in Mechanickham. 2. Lot 3, square 16, bounded by Copernic Ave., Fourth St., Fifth St., and Cuvier Streets, per plan by Hugh Grant, Surveyor, dated February 2, 1842... Said lot measures 50' front front on Copernic Ave. by 125' in depth between parallel lines. Being the same property acquired by Fred Fisher by purchase from Mrs. Adele Destrehan, wife of Samuel McCutcheon, at an act passed before Nicholas Browse Trist, Notary Public, Parish of Orleans on December 12, 1874 and registed in Jefferson Parish COB M, Folio 783. 3. 4 lots of ground designated as lots 9, 10, 11 and 12, square 14 in Mechanickham, bounded by Derbigny, Dolhonde, Fifth and Sixth Streets. Lots 9 & 10 adjoin and each measures 30'8" and 4 lines front on Fifth St. by a depth, each of 120' between equal and parallel lines. Lot 10 is a corner lot and forms the corner of Fifth and Dolhonde St. being 30'8" 4 lines on Fifth St. and 120' in depth and front on Dolhonde St. Lots 11 & 12 are in the rear of lots 9 & 10 and measures each 31'7" on Dolhonde St. by 153'8" between equal and parallel lines. Being the same property acquired by Frederick Fisher by purchase from Louis Sauter on September 2, 1898 and registered in COB Z, Folio 525. 4. No debts were due. 5. Heirs asked for full posession. Testimony of Proof of Death taken 7 Sep 1901: Joseph Bishop and John Hepting, Sr. swore they were acquainted with Magdalena Fleckinger and that she was married to Frederick Fisher at St. Joseph's Church in Gretna by Rev. Father J. Bogarts on March 31, 1864. They also swore they knew the rest of the family, etc. Judgement made putting them all in possession of the property.
