Warling, age 40, is native of Germany and resides in Pensacola, Santa Rosa county, Florida. A later reference says he lived in Milton, Santa Rosa County, Florida, and kid's names differ. Murdered on his ship, while it was anchored in the river within Jefferson Parish. Attorney, William W. Harrison of Florida, is his brother-in-law. He wants the schooner, all tackle, cargo and all slaves on board the schooner returned to Florida. Philip Gross remained on board as a guard. Inventory later taken with Warling's brothers. Martin, Francis and Philippe Warling were present. John H. Diamond, atty for absent heirs. Value of Schooner $4,000. 3 slaves valued at $2800. Emile Forcheimer of New Orleans is a family friend. Warling was buried in Louisiana. NOTE John H. Here it says, bachelor. Later is says heirs are: Jeanne Deman (or Demin), widow Cazeaux, and Jean Alphonse Cazeaux. Daughter, Minerva Parker, is wife of General Edward Sparrow of Carroll Parish. Their daughter, Octavia, died in the fall of 1822 as a child. The son, Christopher Adam, died in the battle of the Alamo. Property: one square of ground in McDonoghville bought from William McCleary Goodrich and Edward Goodrich Hyde. The square is bounded by Columbus, Shepherd, Adams and Jefferson. Parker also owned land in Texas, 43 cows, 3 calves and 4 horses. NOTE Not clear if East or West Carroll Parish.
