Nicholas Betz, Margueritte's half brother, is George Rohring's nearest relative in Louisiana. Per document dated March 26, 1873 Rohring lived at 25 Halsted Street, Chicago, Ill. Rohring's document is supported by a letter from John Schlegel of 405 West Lake St., Chicago, Ill. Regina's son, Peter Villarnobo is 12. Manuel Villarnobo died 01/20/1873, leaving a will dated 1/19/1873. She is indebted to Cornelia for $2,000 and asks it be paid first. Charles Fore, P.H. Lesley's executor, died Jan 1, 1866. Documents include conveyance records where Pleasant Homer Lesley bought 3 arpents on the river by 80 arpents deep. Purchase from Jean Baptiste Drouet & his wife Louise Elizabeth "Bitzie" Cazanave, the land is 18 miles above New Orleans. [NOTE: generally meant above the French Quarter.] Lesley bought at a sheriff's sale, the result of a suit filed by Joseph Edward Mortimer -vs- Auguste Drouet & A. S. Trouard & also a suit filed by J. A. Livaudais -vs- Drouet and Trouard. This docket mentions many other court docket numbers and conveyance record numbers. Charles Clerc resides at 138 Dumaine between Burgundy and Rampart. Amos Collins opposes Clerc's curatorship. Property: lots 4 & 5 in square C, in Carrollton. John and Jefferson are of age as of document filed Oct 22, 1869 & Virgina is now Tutor. D.W.F. Bisbee is under-tutor of Virginia's children. As of December 22, 1866 document: Virginia Sutton Matthews is 22; John E Sutton is 19; Jefferson Sutton is 18; Louisiana Sutton is 12. Property: 2 lots with 32' front on Second by 120' depth, bounded by Third, Lavoisier and the line of Gretna. Lots 8 & 9 purchased from Mrs. Harriet Phelps on November 5, 1857, this was the residence. [NOTE: In this instance the line of Gretna had to be the back fence line between Lavoisier and Lafayette streets.] Property: 2 lots in Gretna each with 30' front on Lafayette Avenue by 150' deep.
