Stone died in Jefferson Parish on 1 March 1894, and Bina Stone, wife, died in Jefferson Parish on 1 Dec 1893. The following children were born of that marriage: Philip Stone, Benjamin R. Stone, Catherine E. Stone, William Stone and Catherine S. Stone, all of whom were minors at the time of their father's death and his only forced heirs.
