The impact on the bank and the community is noted by brief stories of these early leaders." ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Donald Brothers DAN L. DONALD (1911-1979) and W.B. "Bunk" DONALD (1909-1987), played a significant role in the growth of Jennings and Jeff Davis Parish. Their legacy lives on in the person of Dan's son, young Dan L. Donald, Jr. who assumed the Presidency of Jeff Davis Bank in 1996. Dan Donald had been a resident of Jennings since 1939, when he became an active partner in Donald Chevrolet and Cadillac Company. The civic spirited Donald served two terms on the Louisiana State Board of Commerce and Industry and one term on the Jennings City Council. Another of Dan's sons, David, has also been active in Jeff Davis Bank affairs. Dan's brother, W.B. "Bunk" Donald lived in Jennings for forty- seven years and his auto dealership was a landmark in the community. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Jennings Chamber of Commerce and was its former president. Bunk and Dan both served on the development board of Mississippi State University.
