ALBERT HETZEL (1889-1962), was a rice farmer and veteran
member of the Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury, a post he held 
for more than 21 years, the longest tenure of office ever 
served by a juror from Ward 2. For more than 12 years, he was 
the President of the Executive Board of the Police Jury 
Association of the Seventh Congressional District. His son-in-law, 
Harold Wilkinson continued the rice farming tradition and is one 
of the long time depositors of Jeff Davis Bank.
