     GENERAL INFORMATION:
Opened in August 1968. It was one of the first two middle 
schools in Jefferson Davis Parish. It was created as a result 
of integration and consolidation of the school systems in the 
communities of Welsh and Roanoke.  Located in the former 
Roanoke High School building.

During the spring and summer of 2001, our school building was 
completely renovated. It is the oldest school building in Jeff 
Davis Parish, constructed in 1923.
