He was also the church treasurer, secretary of the district association and a member of the Spiritual Seven group. Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10 a.m. Tuesday, in the church. Mrs. Brown died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, in a local care center. A native of Fenton, she was a member of St. Joseph Baptist Church and attended First Ward School. BROWN, Glyn E. LCAP 8/5/1998 WELSH -- Funeral services for Glyn E. Brown, 80, will be at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 5, from Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. The Rev. Whitney Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation is 7 a.m.-2 p.m. A rosary was recited Tuesday evening. Mr. Brown died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, in Welsh. A native of Florien, he resided in Welsh most of her life. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was owner and operator of Brown's Appliances for 40 years, a past volunteer fireman and a member of Woodman of the World. He was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Brown; two sons, Darwin Brown and Donald Brown, both of Welsh; two daughters, Glynetta Phenice of Lafayette and Tina LeBas of Nashville, Tenn.; one stepson, Richard Sclater of Albany, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Susie Sutter of Welsh; two brothers, Keith Brown of Welsh and Carl Brown of Florien; two sisters, Grace Harrington of DeRidder and Gladys Robinson of Jennings; five grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and three great-grandchildren. Dismissal will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jennings. Mr. Brown died at 6:01 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Rayne as a result of an auto-train accident. He was a native of Crowley. He was employed by Crowley American Legion Hospital. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Bessie Brown of Jennings; two daughters Angela and Gloria Brown, both Crowley; three sons, Reginald and Anthony Brown, both of Jennings and Kevin Brown of Washington, D.C.; one stepson, Blackie Brown of Crowley; one brother, Charles Brown of Lake Charles; and five sisters, Mary Bell, Viola and Dorothy Brown, all of Crowley, Lillian Brown and Carrie Brown. BUCKLIN, Mrs. Herbert LCAP 10/4/1998 RAYMOND -- Funeral services for Mrs. Herbert (Dora Koll) Bucklin, 86, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, in the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Thomas Beeler will officiate. Burial will be in the Raymond Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Bucklin died at 10:23 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998, in the Jennings hospital. A lifelong resident of the Raymond/Hathaway area, she was a graduate of Jennings High School. She was a member of Raymond United Methodist Church, the Adult Sunday School class and the United Methodist Women. Survivors include one son, Dr. Ray Bucklin of Gainesville, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Louise) Connors of McAllen, Texas; two sisters, Marie Koll and Mrs. Esther Reeves, both of Raymond; and two grandchildren. BULLER, Vivian C. LCAP 11/7/1998 Funeral services for Vivian Marie Carr Buller, 78, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today, with a Scripture service at 6 p.m.; and from 8 a.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Buller died at 11:55 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, in her residence. A native of Welsh, she was a former resident of Jennings. She graduated from Welsh High School. She had lived in Lake Charles for the past 35 years. She worked for the Lake Charles Credit Bureau, in the office of Contraband Days and Walter O. Moss Regional Hospital before retiring from the Calcasieu Parish Health Unit in 1985. She was past president of the VFW Auxiliary in Jennings and a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sulphur. She was a volunteer for Sisters of Charity/St. Patrick Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Survivors include one son, Mickey Buller of Kountze, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Sharon) Doise of Elton, Mrs. James (Mona) Szymanski of Carlyss and Mrs. Tom (Sandie) Reeves of Westlake; one brother, C.C. "Bill" Carr of Carlyss; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
