She died at 5:26 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 1998, in a Baton Rouge care center. A native of Gueydan, she lived in Jennings for 50 years. She was a member of the Jennings United Methodist Church and was a former member of Jennings Chapter 9 of the Order of , Eastern Star. Survivors include three sons, Thomas Russell Inglehart Jr., Dr. Don Alan Inglehart and Karl Lynn Inglehart, all of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Cassie Della Cowart of DeRidder and Bertie Cora Welborn of California; and three grandchildren. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 8 a.m. Mrs. Istre died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, in the Jennings hospital. She was a lifelong resident of the Mermentau/Jennings area. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John V. "Tee" (Martha) Hanks of Jennings; two brothers, Herbert LeBlanc of Mermentau and Nathan "Jimmy" LeBlanc of Sulphur; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Bulen) Blanchard of Mermentau; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. JACKSON, Jerome Jr. LCAP 11/27/1998 WELSH -- Funeral services for Jerome "Short Dog" Jackson Jr., 18, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, in New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Mr. Jackson died Tuesday, Nov. 17, in a car-train accident in Welsh. He was a native and life-long resident of Welsh, a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Welsh High School and was enrolled at Louisiana Medical College. He was employed as a nurse's assistant and was a certified CPR technician. Survivors include three sisters, Ann Marie, Jane Irish, Sandirish Jackson; four brothers, John Dwayne, Edwin, Jonathan Sid, Eric D. Jackson,; his father Jerome Jackson Sr. and his mother Rachel Lewis Jackson, all of Welsh; his grandparents, Nicholas Jackson of Orange, Texas, Lucille Jackson of Welsh, and Wilbert C. Mr. Jones died at 9:54 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, in a local hospital. A native of Welsh, he was a longtime resident of Lake Charles where he retired as a rice farmer. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Engineering. He was a licensed pilot and had built and flown his own sailplane. He was a member of the Soaring Society of America. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Parson Jones of Lake Charles; two sons, David O. Jones of San Antonio, and George Wendell Jones of Lake Charles; and one sister, Elizabeth Hungerford of Lake Charles.
