In 1970 he was elected as a member of Jeff Davis Electric Co-op Board, from which he retired in 1979. He was active in many civic projects including Our Lady of the Lake Church renovations, Lake Arthur Pavilion and the Klondike Fire Department. He created the Fritz Lang Foundation, which promotes agriculture by donating to schools in area parishes and to McNeese State University, and which issues scholarships in the field of agriculture. Mrs. LeBlanc died at 1:42 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, in a local hospital. She was a native of Crowley, a graduate of Crowley High School and had lived in Iowa since 1969.
