Burial will be in Mermentau Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Parker died at 4:35 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 1998, in the Sulphur hospital. A native of Mermentau, she had lived in Sulphur for 35 years. She was a member of the South Sulphur Church of Christ. He was a member of St Charles Catholic Church in Nederland. Mrs. Precht died at 1:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, in a Lake Charles hospital. A native of Orange, Texas, she was a resident of the Jennings area for 51 years. She was a member of the Jennings United Methodist Church, Spirited Sunday school class and the Tuesday afternoon prayer group. Survivors include her husband; one son, James Davis Precht of Montgomery, Ala.; two daughters, Susan Lanigan of Brandon, Miss. and Jill Boyce of Plano, Texas; two sisters, Willie B. Duncan of Corvallis, Ore. and Eloise Wilson of Vidor, Texas; her stepmother, Zora Davis of Vidor; and nine grandchildren. PREJEAN, Garland Mrs. LCAP 11/11/1998 Funeral services for Mrs. Garland (Rose) Prejean, 82, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, from Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. The Rev. Mrs. Prejean died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, in a local care center. She was a native of Jennings and a founding member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She was a member of the church Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and was a volunteer at the family life center. She received her nursing degree from St. Joseph Hospital in Houston and worked at St. Patrick Hospital for 36 years and at the Registrar of Voters Office. Survivors include one son, Garland Prejean Jr. of Lake Charles; two daughters, Elisa Guillory and Mary K. Scalisi, both of Lake Charles; one brother, Morris Gillet of Mauriceville, Texas; three sisters, Kim Burton of Orange, Texas, Adeline Dalovisio of Lake Charles and Helen Simar of Mauriceville; and eight grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic School, St. Margaret Catholic School or St. Louis Catholic High School, the family said. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Alex Prudhomme Jr. and Clarence Prudhomme, both of Welsh; two daughters, Ide Mae Pitre and Manah Drake, both of Welsh; one brother, Elton Prudhomme of Beaumont, Texas; one sister, Julis Laudies of Welsh; 24 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
