The Rev. Doyle Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation is from 8 a.m. Mr. Young died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 1998, in his residence. A native of Elton, he lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He was a retired, 34-year member of the Carpenters Local 953, an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of VFW Post 2130. Survivors include two sons, Mitchell Young and David Young, both of Lake Charles; one daughter, Charlotte Ellender of Carlyss; one brother, Joseph Young of Moss Bluff; two sisters, Ethel Lavergne of Moss Bluff and Leola Darnutzer of Lake Charles; and four grandchildren. YOUNG, V.G., Mrs. LCAP 7/17/1998 Jennings -- Funeral services for Mrs. V.G. (Irma Seaman) Young, 80, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, in Miguez Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Young died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 1998, in her residence. YOUNG, Wesley LCAP 8/13/1998 Funeral services for Wesley Young, 81, will be at noon Friday, Aug. 14, in Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon Dan Landry will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation is 3-10 p.m. today, with a rosary at 6 p.m.; and from 8 a.m. Friday. Mr. Young died at 3:29 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1998, in a local hospital. A native of Welsh, he had lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired construction worker. Survivors include his daughter, Louella Young of Lake Charles; and his sister, Lilly Bertrand of Lake Charles.
