Mrs. Walker died at 4:35 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in a Lake Charles hospital. A lifelong resident of the Hathaway and Raymond area, she was a retired hairdresser, a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Adult Sunday School class. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kirk Walker of Welsh and Darrell Walker of Jennings; one daughter, Mrs. Torphy (Barbara) Avant of Lafayette; two brothers, Hillard Broussard of Lake Charles and Walter Broussard of Jennings; two sisters, Mrs. Wilfred (Hilda) Broussard of Lake Charles and Mrs. Louis (Margaret) Dronet of Sulphur; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. WEBB, Solomon D. LCAP 3/20/1999 Funeral services for Solomon D. Webb, 84, will be at 11 a.m. today, March 20, in Combre Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park. Visitation will be 9- a.m. Mr. Webb died Monday, March 15, 1999, in a local hospital. A native of Elton, he lived 47 years in Lake Charles. He was a member of New Sunlight Baptist Church where he was an active deacon. He was a member of the Masonic Jappa Lodge 98. Survivors include his wife, Agnes Young Webb; one son, Murphy Preston of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Wray Daniel Smith of Baton Rouge and Sharon Webb of San Diego, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Evelyn Hunter of New York, N.Y.; two brothers, Willie S. Mr. Welch died at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, in the Jennings hospital. A native of Cameron, he was a resident of Lake Arthur most of his life. He graduated from Lake Arthur High School in 1934. He was a cattleman and retired from the Lacassine Co. of Lake Charles after 33 years. He was a member of the Louisiana Cattleman's Association, First United Methodist Church and was a past president of the Methodist Men's Club. Survivors include his wife, Ouida Hoffpauir Welch of Lake Arthur; two daughters, Karen Profumo of New Orleans and Maryanne Orgeron of Vera Cruz, Mexico; one son, Harold Wayland Welch of Lake Arthur; one brother, Curtis Welch of Jennings; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. White died at 12:46 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, in the Jennings hospital. A native of Grove Hill, Ala., she resided in Jennings for 52 years. She was a graduate of Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette, Ala., and Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala. She served as a surgical nurse in the Marine hospitals in Mobile and Memphis, Tenn., was a member of the Tuesday afternoon Bridge Club and attended First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one son, Paul Gary White, III, of Kingwood, Texas; one daughter, Shelia Jo White-Evans, of Chinook, Wash.; four brothers, Bannie, Hiriam, Narvalee and George Cabaniss, all of Bay Minette, Ala.; three sisters, Leona Hartner and Roberta McClain, both of Bay Minette and Hazel Fallis of Mt. She was a member of the Welsh First Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday school class.
