Mrs. Jean Venable — 12/26/2000 JENNINGS — Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Ellen Veronie Venable, 61, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, from Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic church.The Rev. Visitation will be from 2:30-10 p.m. today, Dec. 26, with a rosary at 7 p.m., and from 8 a.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Venable died at 8:10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, in a Lake Charles hospital. A native of Iota, she was a resident of Lake Charles and a retired secretary for Jeff Davis Bank. She was a graduate of Iota High School and a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Allan Venable of Lake Charles; two daughters, Lisa V. Manuel of Alexandria and Rhonda Venable of Nashville; one sister, Sheila Veronie of Torrance, Calif.; her mother, Ellen Veronie of Jennings; and two grandchildren. VERONIE, Ruth R. Mrs. Veronie died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2000, in a Lafayette hospital. A native of Welsh, she was a resident of Jennings. She was a homemaker.
