Mr. Walker died Saturday, June 17, 2000, in the Jennings hospital. WARD, Hazel R. LCAP 9/29/2000 SULPHUR - Funeral services for Hazel Ray Ward, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, in Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Revs. Bobby Taylor and Charley Watson will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4-10 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Ward died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, in her residence. She was a native of Lawtell and was raised in Glenmora. She moved from Jennings to Sulphur 17 years ago. She was a fifth-grade teacher in Jennings for 30 years and was a member of the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Ward Myers of Sulphur; one brother, George Rupert Johnson of Welsh; one sister, Gurneylee Bullock Randall of Glenmora; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. WARD, Inez - 11/21/2000 DeRidder - Funeral services for Inez Martin Ward, 82, of Rosepine, will be at 2pm Wednesday, Nov. 22, in Hixson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Beauregard Cemetery. Mrs. Ward died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, in DeRidder. Evelyn Watson — 12/12/2000 Funeral services for Evelyn Watson, 90, will be at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 12, from Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. The Rev. Simon Palathingal will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation is 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Mrs. Watson died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, in a local hospital. A native of Crowley, she had lived in Lake Charles most of her life. She retired as an LPN from St. Patrick Hospital after many years of service. Survivors include one son, Jimmie J. Watson of Lake Charles; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. WEST, Dillard - 11/21/2000 Funeral services for Dillard West, 83, will be at 3pm Wednesday, Nov. 22, from Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. The Rev. Danny Torres will officiate. Mr. West died at 9:45am Monday, Nov.20, 2000, in a local care facility. A native of Pine Prairie, he had lived in Lake Charles for the past 46 years. He was an Army paratrooper in World War II, serving in North Africa, Italy and Germany. He worked as a teacher in the furniture department of Elton Trade School. He worked for Sears as a furniture repairman for 27 hears before retiring. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn West; two daughters, Mrs. Waylon (Gale) McGee and Mrs. Danny (Theresa) Duplechain, both of Lake Charles; one son, Huey West of Lake Charles; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. WESTON, William Lee - 11/26/2000 ELTON - Funeral servies for William Lee (Boobie) Weston, 27, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in the Holiness Unto the Lord Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Mr. Weston died at 6:18 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, in a Lake Charles hospital as a result of a car-train accident near Oberlin. A native of Lafayette, he had lived in Elton most of his life. He was a graduate of Patterson High School. He was a member of the Holiness Unto the Lord Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two daughters, Lashonda Strahan of Elton, Tiesha Weton of Elton; three sisters, Elaine Weston of Eunice, Octavia Weston of Berwick and Kimberly Weston of Berwick; four brothers, Juniour Weston of Berwick, Lawrence Weston of Jeanerette, Tony Weston of Patterson and Reggie Weston of Berwick; his mother, Mrs. Josephine Rideaux Weston of Berwick; and his father, Henry Weston Jr. of Berwick; his paternal grandfather, Henry Weston Sr. of Franklin; and his companion, Maria Strahan of Elton. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Leanna DeVille of Fenton; two sons, Ray White of Iowa, La. and Arthur White of Garyville; 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of and a deaconess at Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was a member of the church Sunday school, mission department, Bible study and prayer band. Survivors include two sons, Darrell Williams of Fresno, Texas, and Clarence Edward Williams of DeQuincy; four daughters, Esther Goodly and Marguerite Clark, both of Lake Charles, Christina Williams of Baytown, Texas, and Martha Raye Carrier of DeQuincy; one brother, Wilton Gray of Port Allen; one sister, Betty Doyle of DeQuincy; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
