Young — 7/22/2002 JENNINGS — Ernest James “E.J.” Young, 63, died at 7:55 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2002, in a Sulphur hospital. He was a native of Jennings. He was a resident of Sulphur for six years, moving there from Lake Arthur. He was a retired farmer. He was Catholic. Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Schroeder of St. Louis; two sons, Chris Young and Henry Young, both of Sulphur; three sisters, Helen Johnson of Lake Charles, Joyce Istre of Jennings and Mary Jane Skinner of LaVergne, Tenn.; two brothers, Ronnie P. Young of Cravins and Byron Jessie Young of Lake Charles; and 10 grandchildren. His services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m. today and 8:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday. A Scriptural wake service and rosary will be led by Deacon Michael Tramel at 7 p.m. today. Mrs. Orniel Young — 4/21/2002 CLEMMONS, N.C. _ Mrs. Orniel Faye "Lefty" Istre Young, 59, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, in a Clemmons hospital. She was a native of Jennings and had lived in Clemmons for the past 13 years. She was a CNAII at Clemmons Village. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, Rance Young of Statesville, N.C.; five daughters, Lisa Cheek, Peggy Crisp, Shyla Sander and June Sankey, all of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Tammi Lavergne of Moss Bluff; one sister, Carroll McManus of Lake Charles; her mother, Nora Broussard Istre of Lake Charles; and 10 grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. The Rev. Douglas I. Broyles will officiate. Susie G. Young — 5/1/2002 JENNINGS — Susie Guidry Young, 50, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, in a Houston hospital. She was a native of Lake Arthur. She was a graduate of Lake Arthur High School. She was a former production planner for Northrop Grumman. Survivors include one son, Aaron Young of Jennings; two daughters, Mrs. Dwayne (Gladys) Rowe of Bryan, Texas, and Mrs. Steve (Christine) Roberts of College Station, Texas; one brother, James Guidry of Lake Arthur; three sisters, Patricia Beard of Hackberry, Susan Cloud of Jennings and Alice Leger of Lake Arthur; her father, Henry Guidry Sr. of Gueydan; her companion, Robert Hines of Jennings; and six grandchildren. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 2, in Miguez Funeral Home. Harry Rowe Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery. Zaunbrecher — 5/31/2002 LAKE ARTHUR — Laura Mae Zaunbrecher, 68, died Thursday, May 30, 2002, in the Jennings hospital. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Burial will be in Thornwell Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home. Laura M. Zaunbrecher — 6/1/2002 LAKE ARTHUR — Laura Mae Zaunbrecher, 68, died at 4:53 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2002, in the Jennings hospital. She was a native of Gueydan. She was a member and past regent of Catholic Daughters of America. She was a lay minister. Survivors include her husband, Julian G. Zaunbrecher of Lake Arthur; two sons, Zachary Zaunbrecher and Gregory Zaunbrecher, both of Lake Arthur; one daughter, Priscilla Z. Hanks of Lake Arthur; and five grandchildren. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. today, June 1, from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. The Rev. Maurice Martineau will officiate. Burial will be in Thornwell Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Visitation is from 8 a.m. Louisiana Zinon — 1/8/2002 Funeral services for Louisiana Zinon, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in Combre Funeral Home. The Rev. J.L. Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Mrs. Zinon died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2002 She was native of Welsh and lived in Lake Charles for 81 years. Survivors include her husband Wilson Zinon; two daughters, Linda Handy and Kathy Victorian, both of Lake Charles; one brother, Wilson Handy of Lake Charles; and three grandchildren.
