Doyle (Leila Mae BUTSON) REEVES JENNINGS — Funeral services for Mrs. F. Doyle (Leila Mae BUTSON) REEVES, 86, will be at 2 p.m. today, April 1, in Miguez Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Balmer will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 8 a.m. today. Mrs. REEVES died at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2004, in her residence. She was a native and resident of Jennings for 66 years, moving from Deming, N.M. She was a graduate of the Deming High School Class of 1935, as valedictorian. She attended New Mexico State College in Silver City, N.M. She retired as a bookkeeper for Fontenot Insurance Agency with 21 years of service. She was past president of Jennings High School Parent- Teachers Association, and member and past president of Entre Nous. Leila was an active philanthropist in support of St. Jude's Research Hospital; United States Olympic Committee; Muscular Dystrophy Research and Development; as well as numerous Animal Humane Leagues. She was a member of Church of the Brethren in Roanoke, where she served as church organist for 50 years and church treasurer. Survivors include one daughter, Donna R. Cox of Jennings; one son and daughter-in-law, Doyle E. and Wanda REEVES of Houston; one brother, Robert E. BUTSON of Jennings; three grandchildren and spouses, Mark and Rachelle Phenice, Mia and Ed Orgeron, and Kristi Clare REEVES; five great- grandchildren; one nephew; and five nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory Elliott and Rosa Esterly BUTSON; husband, Frank Doyle REEVES; and one sister, Emma Belle BUTSON George. Pallbearers will be Tommy Campbell, David Bowers, Mark Phenice, Matt Prejean, Ed Orgeron, and Wayne Phenice. Lois REDEAUX JENNINGS — Lois REDEAUX, 66, died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004, in Jennings. She was a resident of Jennings, and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Adam REDEAUX of Port Arthur, Texas; one son, Broderick W. REDEAUX of Jennings; one brother, Earl Willridge of Springfield, Mass.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, in Union Missionary Baptist Church in Jennings. The Rev. Gerald W. Perkins will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery under the direction of Frank Brothers Funeral Home of Eunice. A wake will be held 10-11 a.m. Tuesday in the church.
