Allen Nathaniel West
Allen N. West, 71, died Oct 11, 2004, in his residence. He was born in 
Roanoke and lived in Jennings most of his life. He served a corporal 
during the Korean War.

Eunice C Whitaker   (LCAP)    7-03-2004
WELSH- Eunice Catherine McMichael Whitaker, 50, died Thursday, 
July 1, 2004 in a Jennings hospital.
She was born in Shirleytown, MA, was formerly a resident of 
Georgia, and moved to Welsh about a year ago. She was a member 
of the First Assembly of God Church of Welsh.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Whitaker of Georgia; father, 
Herman Lee Thompson of Mississippi; three daughters, Heather 
Brock of Welsh, Kimberly Fontenot and Cynthia Fontenot both of 
Georgia; one step-daughter, Myranda Slick of Georgia; three 
brothers, David Porter Thompson, Charles Thompson and Timothy 
Thompson, all of Georgia; seven grandchildren, three nieces 
and two nephews.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 4, in the First 
Assembly of God Church of Welsh. Rev. Dennis House will officiate. 
Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Hixson 
funeral Home of Welsh. Visitation will be Saturday from 5 - 9 p.m. 
and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 11:30 Sunday,at the funeral home, and from 
12:30 p.m. Sunday in the church.

Died July 29, 2004. A native of Opelousas, he lived 77 years in Jennings.
