Funeral home visitation will be 12:30-5 p.m. today, Dec. 14, at Miguez Funeral Home. Mrs. Neal’s body will be cremated. NORDYKE, Margaret King LCAP 12/05/2006 JENNINGS — A private family service for Margaret King Nordyke, 89, was held Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Nordyke was born Sept. 17, 1917, and died Nov. 22 in Greenwood, S. C. Mrs. Nordyke is survived by a son, Harry Gail Nordyke Jr. of McCormick, S.C.; a daughter, Nancy Ann Carter of Longview, Texas; a brother, Jesse Freeman King of North Logan, Utah; eight grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Gail Nordyke; a brother, George Jackson King; and a sister, Davilee King Johnson. NUNEZ, Stella Benoit LCAP 09/09/2006 JENNINGS—Funeral services for Stella Newman Benoit Nunez will be at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, in the Miguez Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Zachary from Denham Springs officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. Sunday, until time of service. Mrs. Nunez died at 4:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 4, in the Four Corners Skilled Nursing Facility in Durango, Colorado. A resident of 827 3rd St., Jennings, La. from1941 to 2003, when due to ill health, she resided with her son and family in Katy, Texas. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, Jennings and Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas. She will be greatly missed on this earth, but was joyfully anticipating her heavenly reunion. Survivors include her son, Rocky Lynn Benoit and wife, Tammie-Durango, Colo.; two sisters, Bernice Touchet of Jennings and Mildred Crenshaw of Lake Charles; brother, Howard Newman and wife, Eva of Crowley; two grandchildren, John Weston Benoit and William Rainer Benoit; three sisters-in-law, Adlie LeDoux, Laura May Benoit and Mable Istre of Baton Rouge; and numerous precious nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ophie and Rose Istre Newman; her husband, Rufus Benoit; and one brother, Allen Newman.
