Cormier WELSHFuneral services for Belzire Weber Cormier, 100, will be at 11 a.m. today, May 7, from Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. The Rev. Herbert May will officiate. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery in Lacassine under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. in the funeral home. Mrs. Cormier died Monday, May 5, 1997, in Welsh. A native of Scott, she lived in Lafayette Parish for 25 years and in Welsh for 35 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, received an Order of St. Charles medal from the Diocese of Lake Charles and Bishop Jude Speyrer, and was a member of Century Telephones 100 Club. Survivors include two sons, John Eddie Cormier of Lake Charles and Clyde Cormier of Abbeville; four daughters, Mrs. Jasper (Bella) Landry of Lacassine, Mrs. Jake (Clara) Daigle of Welsh, Mr. J.D. (Beulah) Benoit of Morse and Joyce C. Bourque of Hayes; one sister, Evelyn Hebert of Lacassine; 27 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and 35 great-great-grandchildren.
