All rights reserved. http://theusgenweb.net/copyright.htm ~~~~~~~~~ LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Castille Duplantis, 102, will be at noon Friday, Jan. 27, from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. The Rev. Charles DuBois will officiate. Burial will be in Shell Beach Cemetery under direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. rosary, and from 8 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Duplantis died at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1995, in the Welsh hospital. A native of Gueydan, she lived most of her life in Lake Arthur. She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Ladies Altar Society at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, William Duplantis of Gueydan and Wilbert Duplantis of Lake Arthur; four daughters, Lillian Duhon of Grand Prairie, Texas, Mrs. Clarence (Bessie) Duhon of Galveston, Texas, Rose Cormier of Jennings and Eula Pennock of Texas City, Texas; 19 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 43 great-great-grandchildren and six great-great-great-grandchildren.
