IOTA
Funeral services for Mrs. Laura M. Reed, 101, will be at 10 a.m. today, 
Sept. 8,[1995] from St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The Rev. Don Leger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under 
direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home.
A rosary was said Thursday.

Mrs. Reed died at 6:14 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 1995, in the Jennings hospital.

A native of Jennings, she was a member of the Iota Ladies Altar Society.

Survivors are two sons, Clarphy Reed of Hackberry and James Reed of Iota; three 
daughters, Mrs. John (Mary) Simar, Mrs. Durphy (Allie) McFarlain and Mrs. Lloyd 
(Helen) Simar, all of Evangeline; two sisters, Alice Lavergne and Doris Gatte, 
both of Jennings; 20 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 20 
great-great-grandchildren.
