All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************** The Jennings Daily News Jennings, Louisiana Thursday, January 22, 1959 Jennings, La. - Mrs. Albert Schlesinger of Lake Arthur, the former Mary Elizabeth Rollins, died yesterday at 1:35 p.m. at the Elton home of a son, Clyde Schlesinger. She was a resident of Lake Arthur for 40 years, moving there in 1919 from Cameron parish. She was born Feb. 9, 1880 in Tiaogo, La. Services will be held at 3 p.m. today from the Miguez Funeral home. The Rev. Don Hall, Elton Methodist minister, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lake View Cemetery in Lake Arthur. Survivors include two sons, Orais of Lake Arthur and Clyde of Elton, four daughters, Miss Alberta Schlesinger of Lake Arthur, Mrs. Gladys Walker of Houston, Mrs. Audrey Hopkins of Lafayette and Mrs. Adrienne Stephens of Baton Rouge. Also surviving are several half-brothers and sisters, 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rodney Benoit, Kickie Smith, Lee Stephens, Ray McClelland, Buddy Phelps, and Dr. I. Tedesco. Mrs. Schlesinger was a charter member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Lake Arthur Baptist church.
