Death of Fred Stowits.
Mrs. Will Deimer went to Beaumont last Thursday to see her 
brother and some of his family who were ill with typhoid fever. 
Her brother, Fred Stowits, succumbed to the disease on Friday 
night last. He leaves a wife, three children, a mother, brother 
and sister to mourn his loss. The deceased was highly thought of 
by a large circle of acquaintances, and previous to his 
residence at Beaumont lived at New Iberia.

The RECORD extends its sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

Many of our readers and friends of Mr. Fred C. Stowits, who 
resided in our city for several years, and a prominant (sic) 
member of the Pelican State Band of our city for some time, will 
regret to learn of his death last week in the city of Beaumont, 
Texas., caused from typhoid fever. Mr. Stowits was at the time 
of his demise the leader of the Beaumont brass band.
