He is the son of Jules W. Broussard and Mary Leyda Bonin. Jules W. Broussard is a successful planter of Lafayette parish. He served the latter two years of the civil war as a Confederate soldier. The subject of this sketch is a prosperous merchant of Broussardville. He married, in 1888, Miss Mary Landry. To them have been born one child, a daughter.
