He is the son of Ralph and Civerine (Duhon) Foreman, natives of Louisiana. They were the parents of twelve children. Ralph Foreman was a successful farmer of this parish. He died in 1865. His wife still survives him and lives with our subject. Phinas Foreman was married to Olive Nevar, and they became the parents of three daughters, viz.: Pearl, Effie, Clodie (deceased). Mrs. Foreman died August, 1890. Mr. Foreman owns one hundred and twenty acres of land, eighty of them being under cultivation in cotton and corn. He is a thorough business man and stands high in the community. He and family are members of the Methodist Episcopal church.
