Feb. 10th 1922 State of Louisiana, Parish of Lafayette On the 10 day of February, 1922, personally appeared before me, Maurice Sonnier, notary public, within and for said Parish and State, Mr. Adoiska Montet Rohie, aged 83 years, a resident of the eight ward of The parish of Lafayette and State of Louisiana, who being duly sworn according to law, declares she is the widow of Louis Rohie who entered the service of the Confederate States during the civil war under the name of Louis Rohie at (blank) on the (blank) day of (blank), 18(blank), in K Co. Co. Griffeys from the State of (not readable) the he served honorable until The end of the War at Sabine Pass, Tex (where paroled or discharged) on the About May 1865; and that he remained true to the Confederate States, until the surrender, at which time he was in (blank), as Private, that she was married to the said soldier under the name of Adoiska Montet on the 23 day of November 1865 by Rev. G. V. Rousel at Lafayette LA; that she has not married again, and that she is now in indigent circumstances and unable to earn a livelihood by her own labor or skill; that she is not married or otherwise provided for by the State of Louisiana or by any other State or Government; that her said husband died on the 28 day of December 1914 at his resident in the parish of Layafette La; that she resided in the State of Louisiana for life years next preceding the date of this application, and that she claims the aid and benefit of Article 303 of the Constitution of 1898 and subsequent Acts of the Legislature of the State thereunder, as is further shown by her answers to the following questions, which she swears to be true and correct: Under what circumstances did your husband die? Brinkly, artillery 18th Rgt or 26th Inft when he joined from the State of Louisiana that he served honorable until 1865 at Louisiana (here give where paroled or discharged) on the (blank), and that he remained true to the Confederate States, until the surrender, at which time he was in Co. K Brikley Artillery, 18th La or 26 Inf. When he joined as well as surrender, as Private, that she was married to the said soldier under the name of Adoiska Monte on the 21 day of November 1865 by Rev. G. V.
