Mr. Joseph Allement, a native of France, aged about 50 years, died last Monday on 
Mr. Jos. A. Chargois' place, and was buried last Tuesday from St. John Catholic 
church. Mr. Allement had been a resident of the town and parish for a number of 
years, and was a tanner by trade. So far as could be ascertained the deceased had 
no relatives in this country, but by honesty and steady character had won a 
number of friends who gave his body respectable interment.
