S. Broussard, a prominent planter of the parish, died at his home near Pilette Friday about 12 o’clock, in the 42 year of his age, of typhoid fever. Two of his daughters died the week before of the same disease. Mr. Broussard was a good man and a good citizen whose loss will be felt in the community in which he lived. At one time he served as deputy sheriff under Sheriff I. A. Broussard.
