The Lafayette Advertiser, Lafayette, Louisiana, Saturday, April 11, 1903
Miss Mattie Clark, daughter of late Senator Clark, died last Sunday at the home
of her father in this parish. The interment took place in Rayne. Miss Clark was
a young lady of many amiable qualities, and her death in her early womanhood,
she being only 18 years of age, is doubly sad. A host of friends unite in
expressing sympathy to the bereaved family.
